I’ll admit it — I pretty much stayed away for a long time. I’m a writer. I sit alone in a room and make things up. Plus, I’m not a big showoff. Social media always felt like the opposite of that.
But here I am.
If you follow @booksbygotta on Instagram, you’ll find me posting new content regularly — and I think some of it is actually worth your time. A few things I’ve been doing:
Poetry readings. In many cases, you’ll be the first to hear them.
The Perfect Sentence. A feature where I find a sentence in something I’m reading that stops me cold — and then explain why. If you love language the way I do, this one’s for you.
What I’ve Learned. Aphorisms short enough to fit on a napkin. But hopefully more worth keeping.
And I’m trying to make my dog, Zuzu, a star. I’m figuring it out as I go so if anything gets cringey, I don’t want to hear about it.
