Below is a summary of my kids’ sports novel, Time for Willy:
Sam Burnett is feeling the pressure. Against his better judgement he’s left his neighborhood soccer team to play on a more competitive club team miles away. Now he doesn’t know anyone on his new team and his grades are slipping, which won’t help him get into Stanford. His coach thinks soccer is more important than life itself, and his parents constantly argue about what’s best for him. Over the course of one unforgettable week, everything changes, and Sam and his parents learn a valuable lesson about what’s really important.
