It may be you’ve never heard of Matt Christopher but when I was a kid, his youth sports novels were very popular (I read some, but preferred Charles Coombs). When my kids were young, I decided to read some of the Christopher novels to them and, while we enjoyed them, I felt they could be modernized so I set about writing my first kids’ sports novel, The Season’s Not Over. I wrote three more after that, but Season continues to be the most popular and best-selling. People must just want to find out what happened to Eddie Thompson!
